IMPORTANT CITY COUNCIL MEETING REGARDING VACATION RENTALS ON OAHU

COMMITTEE MEETING ROOM HONOLULU HALE
TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2019
10:30 A.M.

Please see BELOW meeting agenda on critical City Council bills (especially Bill 89) that would allow over 4,000 more vacation rentals in residential and condo areas. Please take the time to send in testimony or attend the hearing on Tuesday.  Many residents want no new vacation rental permits until rules are adopted to improve and ensure that current vacation rental prohibitions are enforced. If you are concerned about more vacation rentals now is the time to speak up. Sending in testimony is simple, below for the procedure. The best way to make an impact is to attend the hearing.  Note: Bills 90 and 91 are good.
SPEAKER REGISTRATION
Persons wishing to testify are requested to register by 10:30 a.m. as follows:
a. On-Line at http://www.honolulu.gov/ccl-testimony-form.html;
b. By faxing to 768-3827 your name, phone number and the agenda item;
c. By filling out a registration form in person; or
d. By calling 768-3801.
Persons who have not registered to testify will be given an opportunity to speak on an
item following oral testimonies of the registered speakers.
Each speaker is limited to a one-minute presentation.
WRITTEN TESTIMONY
Written testimony may be faxed to 768-3827 or transmitted via the internet at
http://www.honolulu.gov/ccl-testimony-form.html for distribution at the meeting.
If submitted, written testimonies, including the testifier’s address, e-mail address and
phone number, may be posted by the City Clerk and available to the public on the City’s
DocuShare Website.
